Methods of Production

VR Composites has perfected a number of special methods not usually associated with conventional fiberglass production facilities. We have extensive experience with latex, polyester, and silicone rubber compounds. If it's made with composites, we've done it.

Gel coating

Gel Coating

Our creative use of Gel Coating gives VR composites materials a depth and level of realism you wont find in plastic molded or painted finishes.

Rubber Molding

With rubber surface molding we create textures and fine details that extend our capabilities far beyond the usual limitations of a fiberglass product including large scale seamless casting as exhibited by our Virtual Rocks.

Rotational Casting

By rotating the mold through all axis as the materials cure we achieve the even distribution of composites that keeps the quality and consistency of our products at a high level.

Pattern Making

The finished product can only be as good as the master from which it is made. We use a variety of methods including woodworking, hand sculpted clay or CNC mill cut patterns to create accurate, detailed patterns.
